FRONT LOADING LOWBED SEMI TRAILER

A low bed semi-trailer adopts a drop deck design with a platform height of 0.8–1.2m. Its ultra-low center of gravity improves driving stability and avoids rollover, while the low-profile structure easily passes bridges and tunnels and lowers the cargo COG.
With a recessed deck under the front gooseneck and rear axles, it is also called lowboy or low loader semi-trailer in some regions. Standard load capacity ranges from 20 to 100 tons, and multi-axle models can exceed 300 tons.It features low gravity, large load capacity, stable running and easy loading/unloading, ideal for large construction machinery, heavy equipment, wind power parts, transformers, special vehicles and steel structural cargo.
Compared with ordinary rear-loading low beds, front-loading versions have a lower center of gravity and gentler loading ramp, ensuring safer handling for valuable and precision machinery.

Small ladders are equipped under the gooseneck and at the front of the loading platform.Large engineering machinery can drive onto the deck directly from the front after removing the gooseneck, safer and more efficient.

The folding gooseneck low-bed trailer is equipped with 6 hydraulic jacks under the gooseneck. Among them, 4 units realize the folding and lifting of the gooseneck, and the other 2 support the lifting of the loading platform, delivering dual functions.

During operation, the gooseneck height can be adjusted to match different fifth wheel heights. The loading platform height can also be regulated to adapt to height-limited areas such as roads, bridges and tunnels. Meanwhile, it maintains a lower cargo center of gravity for safer and more stable driving.

3.Features

SHIYUN lowbed semi-trailers are mainly constructed from high-strength structural steel Q550 or Q460, with a yield strength> 620MPa.Compared with ordinary Q345 steel used for semi-trailers, our steel features higher strength and better durability, which greatly improves load capacity and life time while effectively reducing the overall weight.Reasonable structural design and precise camber fabrication have earned SHIYUN lowboy trailers a broad market and excellent reputation.
SHIYUN front loading lowbed semi-trailer is generally equipped with two types of power control systems: one is a hydraulic power unit, and the other is the PTO (Power Take-Off) of the tractor. Both can precisely control the hydraulic cylinder on the gooseneck to achieve lifting, disassembly, assembly, hoisting and other operations.

HIYUN lowbed semi-trailers can be designed with various widths to meet different requirements.The standard minimum width is 2 meters, while most customers choose a width between 2.5 meters and 3 meters.We can also customize trailers with a maximum width of up to 6 meters as per your needs.In addition to fixed-width designs, we can equip extendable brackets to achieve flexible conversion between different loading widths.

Due to the overall long length of multi-axle low-bed semi-trailers, equipped with a length telescopic structure can greatly improve the vehicle’s turning performance.The telescopic mechanism adopts pneumatic control pins. The pneumatic locking pins are used to adjust the telescopic length and fix the positioning. It supports single-section telescopic movement, as well as single and double-section combined telescopic operation.For the main beam, both double-beam telescopic type and single-beam telescopic type are available.The perfect telescopic extendable beam design is another key advantage of SHIYUN low bed semi-trailers.Unlike structures made of conventional Q345 steel, we use high-strength steel plates Q550, ensuring the telescopic beams resist deformation, extend and retract smoothly and efficiently, and completely eliminate the risk of failing to retract after extension.

SHIYUN offer both fully enclosed tire design and exposed tire design to meet the transportation requirements of different cargoes.The exposed tire design has further lowers the platform height to accommodate taller cargo.
A wide range of suspension systems are available.SHIYUN lowbed trailers can be equipped with leaf spring suspension with equalizer beams , air suspension, cantilever suspension(bogie) ,hydraulic lifting suspension, as well as the dedicated suspension for hydraulic modular trailers.Air suspension can be equipped with WABCO lifting control handles, and hydraulic suspension can be equipped with dedicated hydraulic control handles.
To increase the load capacity of the front kingpin, a front dolly can be equipped to improve the rated load and bearing capacity of the kingpin assembly.

Normally, goods are loaded and unloaded via the front ramp of the front-mounted low loader. We can also customize low loaders with rear ramps according to customers’ requirements.

The loading platform can be made of checker plate or wooden planks, featuring sufficient thickness and high strength.
Flip-type axle splicing structure can be adopted to flexibly add or reduce axles and adjust axle load capacity.
