The powder material transport semi-trailer is referred to as the powder tank trailer, and is also known as bulk cement discharging trailer or bulk cement tank trailer. It can also be called powder material transporting semi-trailer or powder material tank semitrailer.
This type of vehicle is mainly used for transporting powdery goods. It is suitable for the bulk transportation of dry powdery and granular materials with a particle diameter no more than 0.1 mm, such as bulk cement, fly ash, lime powder, ore powder and granular alkali.
It is primarily applied in cement plants, cement warehouses and large construction sites, which can greatly save packaging materials as well as loading and unloading labor.
For edible powder such as flour, we recommend dedicated food-grade tank trailers, which are generally made of aluminum alloy or stainless steel

For current powder and granular material transportation, 80% choose bulk cement tank semi trailers.The center line of the tank is arranged horizontally. The tank can be a single compartment or divided into two compartments.This type features simple structure, easy operation, stable discharging for powder materials with good fluidization performance.
The vehicle’s own power drives the air compressor, delivering compressed air through pipelines to the air chamber at the lower part of the sealed tank. This fluidizes the powder and granular materials on the fluidized bed into a fluid state. When the pressure inside the tank reaches the rated value, the discharge valve is opened, and the fluidized materials are conveyed through pipeline flow.
Materials available include high manganese carbon steel Q235, high-strength carbon stee 620JJ,T700, stainless steel and aluminum alloy. Different materials can be selected as per customer requirements.
The volume ranges from 10 to 80 cubic meters. Common specifications are between 35 and 60 cubic meters, with 40 cubic meters as the standard size. Custom volumes are available upon request.Saves substantial packaging and handling costs compared to bagged transportation.
The air supply system of powder tank truck can be driven by power take-off air compressor or diesel engine. Our company can provide relevant supporting equipment, mainly supplying diesel engine driven air compressors.The semi-trailer is equipped with a diesel engine or an electric motor to drive the air compressor via belts.The diesel engines are models 4102 and 4104 manufactured by Weichai.C-type belts are adopted, and the displacement of the air compressor is 12t/min or 14t/min.
Air from the air compressor flows through check valves and ball valves into the tank silo. Swing type brass check valves are adopted, with safety valves installed in front to protect the compressor from excessive pipeline pressure, set at 0.22 MPa.The auxiliary blowing pipeline connects to the discharge pipeline to assist unloading. Check valves prevent powder backflow. An air release valve is mounted at the rear of the tank to release residual pressure before opening the cover or suspending unloading.
The discharge pipeline consists of discharge butterfly valve, rubber hose and pipe joints.
The installation of discharge outlet is critical. Higher mounting position brings faster discharging speed yet more residual materials. Tilted or offset outlet will also increase residue.
The standard discharge hose length ranges from 6m to 12m.
Butterfly valve controls opening and closing with rubber ring sealing. Worn sealing rings are replaceable separately instead of the whole valve, which reduces costs.
The fluidization system consists of air permeable bags, side slide plates, support plates, pressure plates and bolts. The air permeable bags and side slide plates are installed at a certain angle to the horizontal plane.
Seamless steel pipes of 25mm are used to connect the side slide plates with the air chamber sealing plates, keeping the pressure inside the tank balanced with the pressure at the bottom of the slide plates. This avoids abnormal noise of the tank during loading and unloading.
The front, rear and middle air chamber baffles inside the tank are all formed by one-time bending, replacing the traditional welded structure. It improves overall structural strength and avoids welding defects
The internal tank discharge outlet adopts an adjustable structure. By adjusting the vertical distance between the discharge outlet and the tank bottom, the optimal clearance is set, which effectively ensures excellent discharging speed and low material residual rate
Each cement tank trailer is equipped with a magnetoelectric tachometer to monitor the rotational speed of the air compressor. Adjusting the throttle controller can change the engine throttle opening, thereby regulating the rotating speed of the air compressor.
A shock-resistant pressure gauge is installed on the pipeline to monitor the air pressure change inside the tank and guide the discharging operation.

The vehicle can be equipped with one or multiple vertical tanks. Vertical powder tank trailers feature a wide range of applications and are suitable for the bulk transportation of various powdery and granular materials.
Lift-type Powder Tank Trailer — When loading and traveling, the center line of the tank remains horizontal. During discharging, the lifting mechanism raises the front end of the tank to an inclined state. Under the effect of gravity, powder materials slide down automatically and gather at the discharge outlet for unloading.
This type of tank trailer features a simple structure, high volume efficiency and a wide scope of application. It is often used to transport powder materials with poor fluidization performance. However, the additional lifting mechanism leads to more complicated operation and maintenance.
Bucket-type Powder Tank TrailerThe tank of the bucket-type powder tank trailer is composed of a horizontal straight cylinder or rectangular cylinder combined with a conical cylinder perpendicular to the center line.
Generally, there is no fluidized bed inside the tank, or the fluidized bed area is relatively small. It relies entirely on the gravity of powder materials for self-unloading.
This model features a wide application range, low material residue, and easy tank internal cleaning. Its disadvantages are complex structure and low volume efficiency.

Auger structure adopts patented intermediate support bearing, maintenance-free. Lifting auger steering is optional with wireless remote control.
Painting process: Full-automatic shot blasting and powder coating baking, meeting European double 1000 standard, 1000-hour salt spray resistance and 1000-hour aging resistance, featuring strong adhesion, excellent corrosion resistance and high gloss finish.
Compartment door: Pneumatic combined door or automatic door for option.
